daegaer for giving me permission to record her lovely ficlet. For the Read Sadly square, though I might add other squares if I get stuck! I started trying to record this back in August with a homemade popscreen, but gave up due to recalcitrant noise problems -- which I finally tracked down as due to my laptop processor! This is my first recording with my new faster laptop, so comments on the sound quality are very welcome.

Reader's notes: For the No Editing square. It really isn't edited, so listeners on headphones need to watch out for the spikes at start and end (0.25s & 1 min 08s) where I de-mute the mic. A bit breathy, lots of birdsong in the background. I don't think I'd like to try this for anything much longer and I doubt I'll be trying it again, but it did make me think hard about mechanical ways to reduce noise.
