This was thoroughly charming. I think that I have an instinctive reaction to go into a certain mindset when I hear certain kinds of music and the music just put me in the perfect frame of mind for the charm of this story and your reading. And you got Sophie's no-nonsense-affection-exasperation for Howl just right! And the way you did the conversations between Sophie and Millie had such warm humor.

CHARMING! I WAS CHARMED, DAMMIT!

Omg you leave the nicest comments???? Thank you so much! This is a longish crossover between two small fandoms, so I'm really happy some people are listening! This fic captures Diana Wynne Jones's worlds wonderfully, and I had a lot of fun with the dialogue of all the characters ("I have a THING called STYLE, Sophie!!!"). This comment also reminded me to credit the music on my AO3 page--it's the theme from Howl's Moving Castle, naturally.
